Season 2 - Episode 5
Hey everyone, With spring finally settling in, I(Ben) figured it was the perfect time to take a breath and head over to the Vancouver Island Outdoor Show. A day before the event, I crossed over to Victoria to meet up with Logan, and we found a quiet riverside spot that felt like a hidden little world.
The calm water, golden light, birdsong, and ducks gliding by—everything about the place made me feel like I could finally slow down and clear my head.
We spent the evening talking about life, plans for the upcoming BC Overland Rally, and just soaking in the stillness. (More on the Rally soon.) With a fire going and dinner sizzling, it was one of those moments that reminded me why I love being out here.
I also realized, again, that I really need to get better at fishing. Being in a place like that without a rod almost felt disrespectful.
