Season 2 - Episode 1
Hey everyone! We’re thrilled to kick off Season 2 with a brand-new adventure rig and a meaningful trip to test our updated setup. This first episode is packed with exciting new gear, fresh perspectives, and a preview of how we’re leveling up our camping game.
One of the highlights? A custom drawer system by Trippy Worx (based in Coquitlam, BC) that’s been a total game-changer. It’s designed for maximum efficiency and versatility, featuring ample storage, a tilting fridge slider, a functional cooking setup, and a sleeping platform. For someone like me who’s been hauling gear in and out of a truck bed (not great for the back), this upgrade has been a lifesaver. The craftsmanship and design are second to none, and we can’t thank Ray from Trippy Worx enough for building such an incredible system!
Now, let’s dive into the Lexus LX470. Sharing its platform with the iconic Land Cruiser 100 series, this rig blends off-road capability with luxury and comfort. The V8 engine delivers impressive power, and the hydraulic suspension lets us adjust height and damping for an unbelievably smooth ride. While it might not have all the off-road-specific features of our previous setup, the four-wheel-drive system and center locker make it more than capable for rugged trails. For us, the LX470 strikes the perfect balance of comfort, strength, and versatility—an ideal choice for overland camping.
Season 2 is about more than just new gear. We’re bringing in fresh faces, exploring amazing locations, and introducing practical camping equipment under our very own SilentFamily (SF) brand. There’s so much to look forward to, and we’re excited to share every step of the journey with you.
