Rainy Winter Camping with iKamper Skycamp DLX & Annex Plus

Season 2 - Episode 2

Hey everyone! We’re back with another trip, and this one feels extra special as we continue building SilentFamily Season 2 with our new crew member! With Logan now part of the team, this trip was all about bonding, experimenting with new shooting styles, and testing out some exciting new gear—all while enjoying a stress-free stay at an oceanfront campground, even with the cold and rainy weather.

In this episode, we finally put the iKamper Skycamp DLX to the test. After five years of using iKamper tents, this was our first time trying the full-size version, and it didn’t disappoint! The spacious interior, built-in lighting, cork flooring, and plush air mattress were total game-changers. Paired with the Annex Plus, it gave us a warm, cozy, and weatherproof space—perfect for warm meals, leftover Christmas cookies, and heartfelt conversations about the year ahead.

The sleeping setup also got an upgrade! The Nanga sleeping bag (Hinoc Rip Rabaima S 600) combined with the Pocket Bed heating mat kept us toasty even through the chilly, rainy nights. And just like our LX470, Logan installed the Trippy Worx Drawer System in his 4Runner—a setup featuring smart compartments and a tilting fridge slide, and a portable side table that made organizing effortless.

This trip took us back to 2021 when we were just strangers crossing paths. Now, we’re sharing dreams, stories, and plans for the new year—a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much more we’re looking forward to.

As we step into 2025, we’re excited to keep growing, creating better content, and sharing new ideas and products to help you explore nature comfortably, safely, and respectfully. We hope this episode inspires you to take on your own adventures and make unforgettable memories.

Thank you for being part of our journey—cheers to new beginnings and another year of exploration!
